Tompkins County Legislature met Feb. 18, 2025. The body installed a new poet laureate, received staff reports on vacancies and sales-tax receipts, heard public comments on EMS/fire response and a recent arrest, and voted on several resolutions including adoption of an Institutionalizing Equity Report (10–3), support for packaging‑reduction legislation (10–3) and a home‑rule request to expand the Tompkins County IDA (unanimous).
