Union County commissioners met Aug. 20 in Elk Point to approve routine agenda items, authorize emergency-management funding and planning steps after recent emergencies, hear highway and bridge safety updates including weight limits and stoplight cost estimates, review public defender contract proposals, and approve payroll and a long list of claims.
