At the March 6, 2025 Echols County Board of Commissioners meeting, commissioners heard presentations on animal control and a consultant briefing on the county taking over the local water system; the board approved multiple consent items including a DOT grant application under 49 U.S.C. §5311, adopted a safety coordinator resolution, made DFACS appointments and appointed a deputy magistrate judge after executive session.
