Mayor Hovland called the Nov. 19 meeting of the Edina City Council to order, explained hybrid participation options, and asked Clerk Sharon Allison to call the roll; council members Agnew, Jackson, Pierce and Risser were present.
City Council met Nov. 19, 2024 in a hybrid session to take public comment, adopt a Small Business Saturday proclamation, hold a public hearing on a proposed conversion of the Residence Inn at 3400 Edinburgh Way to 136 apartments (hearing left open for written comment and action continued to Dec. 3), approve cannabis zoning/registration ordinances with adjusted buffers, award two bond sales, and establish a tax-increment financing (TIF) district and redevelopment agreements for the former Macy’s site with a commitment to study a France Avenue pedestrian crossing.
