At a Jan. 7, 2026 special meeting, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners approved a scope of work not to exceed $55,000 to convert a 24-by-15 multipurpose room in the Auditor’s Office into permanent office suites to house the Budget and Finance Director and the Auditor; the board then recessed into an executive session under state law to evaluate applicant qualifications.
