At its April 1, 2025 Simpson County Fiscal Court meeting, the court approved routine budget transfers, renewed certificates of deposit, adopted an ordinance and a resolution, approved a jail medical services contract with an increase, acknowledged the proposed FY25-26 jail budget, and voted to accept the Planning & Zoning Commission's recommendation to prohibit biodigesters after public comment and legal concerns were raised.
