The State Water Control Board met Dec. 4, 2024 to consider multiple permit reissuances, a petition to regulate cruise-ship discharges, loan authorizations from the Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund and updates on controversial permits and the Mountain Valley Pipeline. The board approved public comment periods or hearings for several permit reissuances, denied a petition to open rulemaking on ocean-class cruise ships, authorized $180.6 million in loan awards and heard a public comment urging fuller review of a pipeline redesign.
