At its Oct. 28, 2025 regular meeting in Alpine, the Brewster County Commissioners Court approved a series of routine administrative items — including a lease with the U.S. Army for space at the county emergency facility, a county generator maintenance contract and multiple finance reports and recurring payment policies — and heard public comment that Marathon Animal Shelter will close Dec. 31, 2025 and urged county ordinance action.
