At its Sept. 15, 2025 regular meeting, the Catawba County Board of Commissioners approved an $18 million appropriation and a $3 million transfer to advance design for Hickory High School, authorized a 0.183-acre land purchase in Sherrills Ford for a new sewer lift station, approved routine tax refunds and surplus designation for a retiring sheriff, made two reappointments, and issued a proclamation for Hispanic Heritage Month.
