The Autauga County Commission on Aug. 6, 2024 approved a $575,516 contract to clean and remediate the Metro Jail, authorized additional funding for the sheriff's office, approved routine personnel actions and transfers, and agreed to a mutual-aid inmate housing arrangement with Shelby County. Several motions to reimburse special accounts or open purchase orders failed for lack of a second.
