The Union County Board of Commissioners met April 15, 2025, in Elk Point and approved routine business, accepted several resignations, appointed a new chief jailer, hired summer help, approved an easement for a road replacement grant and adopted an amendment to the county Fire Danger Emergency ordinance that restricts open burning during specified National Weather Service advisories.
