Sumter County Council met June 10, 2025, and approved the county budget and a bond issuance, granted first-reading approvals for several rezoning requests, and approved a 3-mill boost requested by the Sumter School District for early literacy support. Council also heard a presentation recognizing the Sheriff’s Office accreditation and received the school district’s budget presentation.
