The Alpena County Board of Commissioners met March 25, 2025, and approved a package of budget amendments including opioid-settlement transfers, several contracts and grants, materials-management planning work, and a resolution supporting passenger rail service between Flint and Mackinaw City. The board also approved a jail medical contract and moved a part-time correction officer to full time following a closed-session personnel discussion.
