At its July 19, 2021 meeting at the Benton County Courthouse, the Benton County Commissioners appointed Randy Shannon as interim mayor after a roll-call vote, approved a renewal of the Benton County Girls Softball lease following multiple failed motions, adopted several county resolutions including budgeting insurance recovery and CDBG reimbursements, approved July notaries and scheduled a special called meeting for July 27, 2021.
