Franklin County Board of Commissioners met Sept. 18, 2023. The board appointed Kathy Syler as interim property assessor, rejected a 146-acre rezoning request after public opposition and planning staff recommendation, and approved a package of budget amendments, contracts and other routine resolutions including multiple school and county budget amendments, a VCIF grant application, and adding Juneteenth as a county holiday.
