Cocke County Legislative Body met May 19, 2025 in Newport. Commissioners approved routine minutes and notaries, adopted multiple budget transfers and school funding amendments (including bonus distributions under the Education Freedom Act), approved contracts and an environmental-MOA for converting the Cocke County Memorial Building to women’s recovery housing, and appointed a bike-trail maintenance committee.
