Meeting called to order; the acting president noted he was filling in for Mr. King and asked the board to lead the Pledge of Allegiance before roll call. The board prepared to proceed with the agenda after the pledge.
The Muscle Shoals City Schools board held a regular meeting, approved the agenda, minutes, consent agenda (including two out-of-state student trips and a community education fee increase), and a personnel report that included several hires and substitute/leave updates. Superintendent Dr. Holden highlighted Career and Technical Education month, school resource officers at each campus, Black History Month events, spring athletics and recognized paraprofessional Shayla Hill for a statewide award.
