The Long County Board of Commissioners met in early June 2020 (regular meeting June 2 and public hearing/work session June 16). The board approved a subdivision final plat and an industrial rezoning, declined to renew an inmate contract, accepted an animal shelter contract with Fort Stewart and authorized borrowing, and accepted the county administrator's resignation, naming Russell Simmons interim.
