Claiborne County Commission met June 20, 2023 in Tazewell and adopted the 2023–24 appropriations resolution after amendments, approved multiple school budget amendments, authorized financing for a landfill backhoe, approved the sale of the Stone House to The McNabb Center for transitional housing, and rejected a proposal to transfer additional wheel-tax revenue into the general fund.
