The Tift County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 11, 2023 approved a consent agenda including contracts and a $1.029 million landfill property purchase, rejected high bids for a traffic signal at Ferry Lake Road and New River Church Road and instead authorized a flashing four-way stop, appointed a county clerk and county attorney, approved disposal of a surplus fire truck and authorized a conditional alcohol-license process for Buffalo Wild Wings.
