Alpena County Finance Ways & Means Committee met Feb. 10, 2026, and recommended a May 5, 2026 special election to reauthorize a 911 surcharge, approved several budget adjustments (including two for the Sheriff’s office), authorized postage meter leases and rebidding of an airport t-hangar project, approved updated county grounds-use policy, and advanced several consent-calendar items and personnel actions.
