Simpson County Fiscal Court met June 20, 2023, and approved the FY23/24 budget ordinance after a split vote, accepted multiple routine purchases and bids, agreed to discontinue the mosquito spraying program once current supplies are exhausted, approved numerous budget transfers and bills, and made several community announcements and upcoming events.
