The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners met December 8, 2025 and unanimously approved claims and a series of routine items, accepted the resignation of County Assessor Becky Smith effective Jan. 1, 2026 and recommended first deputy Rebecca Brewer to finish the term, and approved a Quapaw Volunteer Fire Department request to use $15,000 as a down payment on a rescue truck.
