Sumter County Council met Dec. 13, 2022, and unanimously approved a budget amendment permitting up to $700,000 from fund balance to help renovate the Magnolia Building so several county offices can relocate. Council also held first readings on two property sales, approved multiple board appointments, heard residents request maintenance for private Kangaroo Lane, and received reports from members and the county administrator.
