Farmers Branch Historical Park board met Aug. 22; the city’s incoming director of economic development, tourism and planning, Perla Tavara, introduced herself and said the park will move under her tourism budget starting Oct. 1. The board received a quarterly financial report showing revenue gains, heard that the new event center construction is in final punch-list work, and tabled officer elections to the next meeting.
