At its Dec. 22, 2025 regular meeting in St. Ignace, the Mackinac County Board of Commissioners unanimously adopted the county’s 2026 budget, approved wage and benefit-related items including a 4% court staff increase and implementation of an updated wage study, authorized several contracts and appointments, and approved a phased per-parcel Equalization charge for 2026–2028.
