At its Oct. 4, 2022 regular meeting the Simpson County Fiscal Court approved a series of motions including a Regional Development Agency grant application, discontinuance of VFW Road, a 5-year solid waste plan, budget transfers and a reduced sheriff tax collection rate requested by Simpson County Schools; the court also discussed a foul odor at the county clerk's office and planned an on-site inspection.
