Nassau Bay City Council met Jan. 13, 2025. Council heard public comment about residential standby generator setbacks, held a first reading of an ordinance to tighten those setbacks, approved a three-year $100,000-per-year sponsorship with the Manned Space Flight Education Foundation using hotel-occupancy funds, approved a state-directed ban on TikTok on city devices, discussed time limits and fines for incomplete residential building permits, created a community engagement app committee, and authorized outside counsel to pursue breach-of-contract action on a stalled build at Kingstown Court.
