At its Dec. 22, 2021 meeting the Charlotte County Electoral Board reviewed emergency steps taken after a temporary closure of the Registrar’s office, secured the temporary office at 117 Legrand Avenue, opened a search for a new registrar, and approved routine invoices and memberships. Board members described the move as necessary amid pending litigation and a directive from the State Department of Elections.
