The Charlotte County Electoral Board met Dec. 15, 2021, and voted to close the registrar’s office and place the registrar and assistant registrar on administrative leave while seeking guidance from the State Board of Elections; the board also reviewed and approved several vendor invoices and set a timetable for hiring a new registrar.
