At its Jan. 20, 2026 regular meeting, the Cowley County Board of County Commissioners heard public concerns from Silverdale Township residents about heavy-truck speeds and bridge damage and voted unanimously to hire an engineering firm to study signage and traffic options; the board also approved a slate of routine contracts, a tax-relief application and budget year-end transfers.
