Board President Greg Farris called the meeting to order, certified a quorum and announced the board would convene a closed session to consult with attorneys on legislative updates, deliberations on real property, employment/contract personnel, contract renewals for administrators, possible educator certification sanctions, student discipline and a safety/security intruder audit under specified Texas Government Code sections.
Forney ISD board meeting (March 2026): trustees reconvened from closed session, held a public hearing on the Texas Academic Performance Report, received multiple facility and master-planning updates, approved a teacher/staff compensation package, authorized vehicle purchases, granted hiring authority to the superintendent through Sept. 14, 2026, approved the OC expansion name (“the Rec”), and rejected a proposed resolution regarding Senate Bill 11 after attorney consultation.
