Arlington City Council considered a first-reading ordinance to reinstate a suspended anti-discrimination chapter, heard more than 40 public commenters largely urging restoration, and the council voted and failed to reinstate the ordinance; the council also approved a zoning rezoning for eight townhomes, advanced an animal-services fee ordinance, and passed a consent agenda of contracts and budget items.
