The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners met July 11, 2023, and approved a Verizon special-use permit for a 258-foot communications tower, an administrative subdivision called "Eckhout Acres," multiple tax and motor-vehicle exemption items through the Board of Equalization, and contracts and procurement steps for road and bridge work. The board also moved CDBG program income funds back to the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.
