Katy City Council met Feb. 9, 2026. The council canvassed a special election and swore in Paula Taylor, approved several consent items and contract authorizations (including negotiating an ERP contract), and voted to create an advisory Historic Preservation Commission with priority to address the Rice Dryer (Reichstrier) area after extended public comment in favor of preservation.
