The Southampton County Board of Supervisors met Sept. 24, 2024. The board heard public comments about local outreach and safety, approved minutes and several appointments, and unanimously adopted a resolution asking VDOT to study safety improvements on U.S. 460 near the Ivor Rescue Squad; the meeting included routine administrative and financial reports and a closed session on economic development and a potential solar project.
