McKinney City Council met Dec. 17, 2025. The council approved budget and contract moves to fund the next phase of the McKinney National Airport Eastside development, granted a variance allowing First McKinney Baptist Church to activate its emergency warming station at 40°F and raise occupancy to 100 (vote 7–0), and appointed a representative to the regional 9‑1‑1 Emergency Communications District.
