The Lunenburg County Planning Commission on Sept. 7, 2023 considered a conditional use permit (CUP 1-23) for Oral Oaks Road Solar, a proposed 12 MW utility-scale array on a 128.239-acre A-1 zoned parcel, heard one public comment raising groundwater and property-value concerns, and voted unanimously that the project is in substantial accord with the county comprehensive plan; commissioners also continued work on a county solar ordinance study.
