The Valdez City School District board discussed a sudden 17.5% health insurance increase that will add roughly $47,000 to the district budget, reviewed staffing and facility updates, approved a $147,991 purchase to convert a rifle range into a weight room, approved two smaller budget/handbook items, and agreed to return a House Bill 78 defined-benefit resolution as an action item at the next meeting.
