The Clanton City Council met Feb. 9, 2026, at Clanton City Hall and unanimously adopted three resolutions, including a moratorium on new vape and electronic cigarette shops. The council also approved a professional services agreement for bridge inspection services and appointed delegates to the Alabama League of Municipalities business meeting. No members of the public spoke at a public hearing on vacating a portion of Hannah Street.
