Henderson City Council held a special called meeting on Sept. 25, 2023, and unanimously approved two resolutions to apply for a USDOT Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods grant for the S-Line Mobility Hub and to create a Synthetic Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district to fund a local match. Council and staff discussed match funding, closure of at-grade crossings, and the geographic scope of the proposed TIF.
