Rhea County Commission met Sept. 16, 2025, elected Jacob Ellis to the District 7 vacancy, re-elected Chairman Jim Reed and other officers, approved multiple budget amendments, accepted several state grants including a $600,000 SRO grant and a $1,568,399 recreation grant, authorized a lease for a Daktronics video display, appointed Rick Wilkey to the planning commission, and approved a slate of notaries before adjourning.
