Nelson County Commissioners met in a special session on Aug. 15, 2023, and approved routine minutes and bills, set roadside mowing standards and fees, extended the tractor bid publication period to allow for two weeks of legal notice, and scheduled interviews for the vacant highway superintendent position. Commissioners also authorized advertising items for sale at Steffes Auction and adopted the state meal reimbursement rates for county travel.
