At a March 31, 2025 special meeting, the Village of Beverly Hills entered a closed session to consult with special counsel on pending litigation (Damon Hrydziuszko v. Village of Beverly Hills). After returning, the council voted 3-3 on a recommendation from counsel, failing to adopt it; residents also urged the council to address the absence of an animal ordinance and oppose backyard chickens.
