On May 13, 2024, the Moody City Council met for about 10 minutes and approved a set of routine, budgeted items including a library movie-license renewal, fire department purchases and repairs, hiring to fill four full-time positions, and citywide fire-extinguisher inspections; the council also approved a postponement of the May 27 meeting. Mayor Joe Lee adjourned the meeting at 6:10 p.m.
