Newton City Council met March 5, 2024, and approved an economic development sale and agreement for Windak, rezoned 59.95 acres for a 179-home Planned Development, and adopted a package of budget and capital actions including financing, vehicle and equipment purchases, and a planned aerial fire truck purchase.
