Newton City Council on Nov. 24, 2020 approved a budget amendment to complete downtown streetscape engineering, authorized staff to apply for $1.78 million in debt financing and set a public hearing, awarded a contract for Highway 10 breaker replacements, approved switching the city newsletter from quarterly to monthly inserts, and heard a report on new state planning statutes.
