Newton City Council met Feb. 18, 2020 and unanimously approved a letter of support for reclassifying the Jacob Fork Rivers water-supply designation, adopted budget amendments to cover higher recycling disposal fees and police vehicle replacement, and awarded a contract to rebuild filters at the water treatment plant.
