At its Feb. 10, 2026 regular meeting, the Stanley Town Council approved a resolution to establish an Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board after a lengthy public hearing that produced sharply divided views; the council also reinstated most of its public records fee schedule (excluding an $18/hour special service charge), rejected an appointment to the Planning Board alternate seat, and approved an amended LGC audit contract.
