At its Oct. 20, 2025 meeting in Murphy, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners approved a package of budget revisions, contracts and appointments, awarded an airport lighting contract, and voted to deed property to two volunteer fire departments with reuse stipulations. A contested 4-1 vote approved a livestock market licensing agreement.
